CIT1410/Lecture/2S21 - Network Structure | Credits 3.00
This course will cover structured cabling systems that provide a comprehensive information technology infrastructure. Copper and fiber optic media will be studied, installed, and tested via lab exercises that demonstrate the student's proficiency. The course will emphasize safety practices, essentials of electrical and optical transmission, structured cabling standards, cabling standards organizations as well as cabling installation and testing. A combination of lecture, demonstrations and various on-line resources will provide the basic skills a technician requires. 3 Cr Hrs. Course Requirement(s): Appropriate Placement Score or ENG0970.
