MLT1040/Lecture/01 - Hematology and Coagulation | Credits 4.00
This course is a study of normal and abnormal blood cells. Blood smears are prepared and studied for the identification of blood cells that aid in the diagnosis of anemia, leukemia, hemoglobinopathies, and other disease states. Included is the study of coagulation and the routine procedures used to evaluate hemostasis. Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to perform routine hematology and coagulation procedures in the clinical experience. 4 Cr Hrs. Course Requirement(s): MLT1020.
