In this course students will learn the basic concepts of abnormal psychology. The diagnostic criteria from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V) for the major categories of psychological disturbances will be presented. Facts about etiology, prognosis, and treatment modalities using the DSM V as a basis will be presented and discussed. 3 Cr Hrs. Course Requirement(s): PSY1100, Placement or ENG0970. Ohio Transfer Module (OTM) Course [TMSBS], and, Ohio TAG Course [OSS017].
