This course is the first of four clinical applications of surgical technology. During this clinical students will be functions as a sterile processing technician in the sterile processing department. Students will be required to attend their clinical hours off campus at an affiliated hospital. This course will provide the student with the necessary clinical, hands on, experience needed to understand the sterilization process and its importance. The student will follow all policies and procedures of the program, MTC and the affiliated hospital system.
