This course involves the review of basic functional anatomy and an in-depth analysis of human motion. The biomechanics of each joint will be discussed along with common orthopedic joint dysfunctions, pathologies and special tests. Students will examine the gait cycle and identify possible causes for abnormal gait. An overview of peripheral joint mobilization will be introduced. Detailed goniometry and manual muscle testing will be the focus of lab content. 4 Cr Hrs [3 hrs lecture/3 hrs lab]. Prerequisite(s): PTA1000, PTA1010, PTA1100, PTA1102, SCI1200. SCI1250 must be taken before or concurrently with this course.
