ALH2650/Lecture/01 - Strength Training and Exercise Prescrip | Credits 3.00
This course provides the learner advanced knowledge of the physiology of strength development. Strength exercise design and testing will be a major focus. This course also provides instruction in muscle anatomy and kinesiology. Students will have the opportunity to develop and implement strength programs in a lab setting. This course specifically prepares the learner for the NSCA- CPT (personal trainer) examination which, upon passing, certifies the student as a personal trainer. 3 Cr Hrs. Prerequisite(s): SCI1050, SCI1100. HLT1100 must be taken before or concurrently with this course.
