AET1100/Lecture/01 - Alternative Energy | Credits 3.00
This course provides an introduction to alternative energy resources, with a scientific examination of their technology and application. An overview of the conventional energy sources will be given first and make the students aware of their problems. Then the course will focus on alternate energy sources such as solar, wind, biomass, geothermal, and hydrogen. The students will be familiarized with scientific terms and concepts of the supply, use and efficiency of energy systems. Hands on training will be given in a lab environment to further the student’s understanding of the energy sources,. 3 Cr Hrs. Prerequisite(s): Placement or ENG0970.
