This is an online course in which ethical standards for counselors, particularly chemical dependency counselor assistantsand licensed chemical dependency counselors, will be examined. Students will study a wide variety of ethical issues and topics. Topics include counselor values and attitudes, ethical dilemnas, ethical decision making, professional standards, client rights and counselor responsibilities, confidentiality, counselor competence, boundaries and dual relationships, ethical misconduct, and multicultural issues.
