Transitions Math (TMTH 008) helps students prepare for the COMPASS placement test before they transition to college classes. TMTH 008 provides a review of decimals, fractions, exponents, ratio and percentages. Mastery of basic operations, without a calculator, is emphasized. No credit or grades are given. Students who successfully complete the course are encouraged to retest on the COMPASS Math. This class meets at MTC starting on the second half semester and lasts eight weeks. There are no fees. Non-credit course. ABLE orientation is required and occurs in the first two class sessions, therefore, there is no late entry to the class.
