This course presents mathematical concepts that are necessary for a successful career in today's business environment. These concepts include equations and formulas, mathematics of buying, markup, markdown, break even analysis, simple interest, notes and bank discounts, compound interest, business and consumer loans, home loans, ordinary annuities, and basic statistical concepts. Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to understand and apply business math concepts to business practices and be able to use basic algebra to solve business problems. 3 Cr. Hrs. Prerequisite: Placement or MTH0980; OIS1240/concurrent.
