Statistics provides an introduction to the type of basic statistics used in many business applications. Students will become familiar with statistical terms and concepts, and will use Excel to analyze and solve problems. Students will learn to calculate and interpret the results for standard deviation, mean, median, correlations, binomial and normal distribution probabilities, and hypothesis testing. Students will also learn to set up frequency distribution tables and conduct the test for statistical independence of categorical variables. 4 Cr. Hrs. Prerequisite: Placement or BUS1100 and OIS1240
